I began crocheting in 2013, just playing around and trying to make some little animals. I wasn’t very good!! I set my hook down for awhile, but kept coming back to the craft because it was a nice way for me to sit and relax while continuing to use my hands.
When my oldest son arrived in 2015, I was determined to master my crochet technique and make him some unique things. I started with a blanket for his nursery and made him his first hat (a lion!) for his first Halloween. From there, I was hooked on making hats! I made a turkey for Thanksgiving, snowman for Christmas, chick for Easter and so on and so forth.
2017 brought the birth of my second son and by this point, I was into making all sorts of things!! I received an opportunity to sell items at a local children’s boutique and was determined that this was the time to start up my crochet business! I started my Etsy shop around the same time that I started selling hats in the shop. The boutique closed unfortunately, but I transitioned to markets and kept working on growing my little shop.
In 2019, my daughter was born and my heart and hands have been so full!! I branched out to designing patterns in 2020 and love it! I never thought I would be able to design something on my own but I’m completely hooked now. 2020 was a challenging year for so many, in so many ways. Designing patterns has given me a great creative outlet in a time when so much is out of my control. I love creating new things, coming up with cute designs, and seeing the final product come together!
So, why Stuck On You Crochet? When my husband and I got married in 2011, our first dance was to the song “Stuck Like Glue” by Sugarland. It was the perfect song to describe us and our relationship. When I had my first baby and started making all sorts of things for him, “stuck on you” came to mind because I was just so totally in love and “stuck” on my sweet little one! I knew it would be the perfect shop name as everything I make and design in my shop is created out of my love for my husband and kiddos! My creations and designs are for all the little loves in your life that you are just totally “stuck” on too!
Thank you so much for your support of my family and my small shop. It brings me so much joy to share and see my creations and I am so appreciative of the support!
