Oh hey! I'm Allie!

Hi! I'm Allie, the owner, designer and maker behind Stuck on You Crochet! I am mama to four cute little kiddos and wife to one awesome husband. I began crocheting as a creative outlet while in graduate school. I started slowly and really "got hooked" after having my first son. Three additional kids later and multiple attempts at making 'all the things,' I've branched out into pattern designing. I enjoy making items for children including hats, clothes, blankets, toys, nursery decor and more! I love designing new patterns and teaching others how to master making beautiful things! You can find me with baskets of WIPs strewn about the house and a list of "future projects" a mile long!

I’m late to the game but have the pleasure of participating in this week’s rainbow themed make-a-thon and let me tell ya…I’m hooked! This week’s rainbow theme honors Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day on October 15. We’ve had two miscarriages among our four little blessings and rainbows hold a very special place in my heart for these two littles that I’ll meet someday 🌈 The very first pattern I designed was the rainbow dreams wall hanger, after our first miscarriage. It was such a difficult time and having something to do with my hands was so therapeutic. I have wall hangers in both of our rainbow babies’ rooms now and like to think of them as the “bridge” between our littles. Without the loss of one we wouldn’t have the blessing of the other, so they are intricately intertwined. That first design has inspired a lot of different rainbow patterns over the years and they are all so special to me! Rainbow patterns are all on sale on Etsy this week with the code RAINBOW. We managed to boo a couple others in the neighborhood and included a bitty buddy for one of the little ones! I’ve closed the tester call today and will be reaching out to the tester group later this afternoon ❤️ I’m so excited to work up a wearable! While I know there’s not a TON of time before Halloween, the pattern will be designed fully checkered as well so it can be worn all season long! I’m looking for a handful of testers to help me out with this checkered cardi, perfect for fall! Pattern will be written as a fully checkered cardigan with an add-on ghost modification option for those little Halloween lovers! 👻 This means it will be great for the holiday but applicable all-cool-weather season long! Here’s what I’m looking for: • Experienced crocheters willing to work through sizing with me throughout the test period. You must be willing to work a gauge swatch and take measurements throughout testing. • Testers who have a child sized model to test the cardigan on for sizing! Looking for ages 3-4, 5-6 and 7+. Maybe 2 yo…but I am thinking it might be on the big side for 2 and under. • Testers must send feedback by the requested testing deadline and share a finished product photo!
