Checkered CAL Week Three

Welcome Back!
Everyone caught up on Weeks One and Two? If not, don’t you worry…there’s plenty of time to play catch up this week while we’re in Sleeve City!
If you are just getting going, start here, with the crochet-a-long overview and then move on to the Week One instructions here! By the end of week one, you should have worked through the first 25 rows of the baby sized projects or the first 30 rows of the child sized projects! After Week One, add your back panel and front panels in Week Two here!
Remember, if you still need a pattern, you can grab them on Etsy and use the code CHECKEREDCAL to save 25% on ALL checkered wearable patterns and mods. Find the patterns here and click the “wearables” section from the left-side menu to make them easy to find.
Special congratulations to @craftandyouwillfind who is our week two “wheel of names” winner! The Week Two giveaway is the new Checkered Boo Pillow. Week Three’s giveaway is The Halloween Bitty Bundle #1. Don’t miss your shot at adding these bitty spooky pals to your halloween lineup! If you share your project progress this week and tag me, you’ll be entered with a chance to win!

This week, the instructions are simple…we’re living in Sleeve City. Add both the left and right sleeves to your project. If you are making a vest, your weekly work will be quick and easy! If you are making a cardi well….you have a little more work to do!
The sleeves can be customized to desired fit so stop and do a fit check as recommended in the pattern! You can take out rows to make them a little shorter or add rows to make them a little longer. Adult modifications will likely need to add a few rows to make them long enough!
Once you’ve added your sleeves, go ahead and start on the ribbing! We’ll be adding a lot of ribbing next week, so here’s your chance to get a good handle on the the technique.
If you need some inspo for your sleeve colors, check out these tester photos! You can choose Color A, Color B or add an entirely new color!

That’s all for now! Remember, if you have questions, ask away in the IG support group!
