The Baby Crochet Pattern Round-Up
Thanks for hopping along to my website!!
*The Baby Blog Hop has ended up but you can still check out this round up of adorable baby patterns!*
If you have been around for awhile, then you’ll know that baby crochet patterns are totally my jam. Honestly, I started crocheting just because I wanted something unique and special for my oldest son (and subsequently other kiddos). Now as a designer, I love creating patterns that have that extra special heirloom touch. So, when I found out that Rose from Hookfully was putting together a Baby Crochet Pattern Blog Hop full of baby themed patterns, I jumped at the chance to participate!!

I am sharing TWO of my favorite patterns for this blog hop: The Snoozy Bear Bobble Buddy and The Georgie Blanket. These are some of my most popular and most favorite baby designs. Here’s a little more about each of them!
The Snoozy Bear Bobble Buddy
The Snoozy Bear Bobble Buddy will be featured on August 8th during the blog hop.
Bobble buddies are a unique style that I began designing a few years ago. Meant to be a cross between a security blanket and a stuffed animal, they become the perfect little lovey for babies to carry around and toddlers to play with! They offer all of the comfort and security of a beloved blanket with the fun and imagination of a stuffed toy. The bobbled texture and soft body structure provide great sensory input while the cute animal designs make them fun for play! The Snoozy Bear has been the most popular bobble buddy design and includes instructions for a bear or polar bear modification.
Bobble buddies rely heavily on the bobble stitch for their unique texture. While this stitch looks complicated, it really isn’t! If you need help with the stitch, you can find the free bobble stitch tutorial here. If you want to try out a smaller version before committing to the larger lovey size, you can also find the FREE pattern for the bear bitty buddy design coming Aug 2! Bitty buddies are a tiny-sized version of the bobble buddies and make excellent teether toys or rattles for little ones!
The Georgie Blanket
The Georgie Blanket is a classic blanket design with a touch of whimsy. This design was inspired by our youngest son, George! I wanted a sweet and simple baby blanket for him with just a bit of texture.
The Georgie Blanket has TWO versions – the Classic style featuring worsted weight yarn and the Bulky style which works for bulkier yarns. The Classic version takes a bit longer to work up but has that special heirloom look. The Bulky version works up quickly and is oh so snuggly in extra plush yarn!! Each pattern version includes instructions for both a lovey and blanket size. The pattern is also adjustable, so you can create your own size if you’d like! No matter how you make it, it is sure to become a special keepsake!
Lovey size in Classic
I hope you love these two patterns I’ve designed as well as all of the other baby patterns featured in this month’s blog hop. What a wonderful way to stash up on some really precious gifts for little ones! Thanks for checking it out and enjoy!
