Block Nine: Bobble Stitch

Hard to believe that we’ve already made it to Block Nine! Block Nine features the bobble stitch – one of my very favorite stitches! Bobble stitch creates tiny balls that add interesting texture to the design. Worked in different colors, they add whimsy pops of color across the work!

These bobbles will be worked towards you as you work across the row, so the bobbles are on the front of the work. Make this block in a single color or add multicolor bobbles on the bobble stitches. These can be in your choice of color!

For more help with the bobble stitch, see this tutorial.
For help with changing color on the bobbles, see this tutorial.

bobble: To make a bobble stitch, work four double crochets into the same stitch as below: (yo, insert hook into st, draw up a loop, yo, pull through first two loops on hook) and repeat 3 more times. End with 5 loops on the hook – yo, pull through all 5 loops.
