MATERIALS:
This project makes an excellent stash buster so if you have some scraps waiting to be used, this is the project for them. You’ll need worsted weight yarn and you can choose to make this project single-stranded (finished size ~70″ x 9.5″) OR double-stranded for an oversized look (finished size ~80″ x 11.5″). You’ll need 9 different colors if you want to follow the pattern exactly, but feel free to switch it up as you’d like!

Additionally, some notions that will be helpful for this project include: Blocking Boards (if desired), Blocking Pins (if desired), Darning Needle, Scissors, Steamer (if desired) and Stitch Markers (if desired).

BLOCKING YOUR PROJECT:
Woohoo! If you’ve made it here, then you are through all TEN blocks of The Stitchwork Scarf! You may notice that some of your blocks are different sizes or cinch in more than others – that’s OK! This is where blocking will come in very helpful.
After finishing all of the blocks, weave in all the ends. You may find that your scarf is a little uneven and wonky when laid out flat. With all of the different stitches and tensions, this is normal! Blocking will be your best friend here, and help get your scarf to one even size!
If you have never blocked before donāt worry – itās simple! I like to useĀ foam blocking boards,Ā blocking pins, and aĀ steamer. Each of these are linked if you need these materials. If you donāt have these things, you can also wet block by soaking the project and then stretching to lay out flat and even as best you can. Allow it to dry completely.

That’s it for The Stitchwork Scarf Stitch-a-Long this month! Remember, if you prefer the ad-free pdf pattern or you just can’t wait for each block to be released, find the pattern available on Etsy or Ravelry! Use the code STITCH to save 20% on the pattern through the end of February. The stitch-a-long posts will remain posted until mid-March for anyone who needs to finish their project!
Thank you to each and everyone of you who joined in. I hope you had fun and learned something new!
